The Software Sales Executive is a key growth position that is responsible for meeting sales targets in order to build UMT360’s software & services revenue streams. In this role, you will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Consulting and Products teams to develop and implement specific strategic plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets throughout the assigned territory. This is a senior level sales position requiring a solid history of quota and goals achievement in the software industry. The UMT360 sales process requires an ability to quickly grasp and convey key project, portfolio, IT management and financial management concepts that are the core of the UMT360 solution. This highly complex sales effort combines deep Project Portfolio Management, IT operational and financial understanding, with an overriding need for solid business acumen, in order to effectively convey the value of UMT360’s suite of applications to senior decision-makers. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Achieve / exceed quota plans (quarterly and yearly).
  • Develop individual territory strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to gain access to target customers.
  • Penetrate accounts, captivate decision makers, and overcome selling obstacles.
  • Assist inside sales professionals in discovering new sales opportunities within each geographic region.
  • Cultivate and grow relationships with senior business leaders, leading to sales opportunities and new business.
  • Proactively create and maintain positive and mutually profitable customer relations to help ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and customer renewals.
  • Ensure that territory operations function smoothly, with the goal of facilitating smoothly executed sales; operational responsibilities include accurate pipeline reporting and quarterly sales forecasts.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of highly successful enterprise technology sales leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of consistent over-achievement against assigned quota and a resulting high level of income attainment, verified by W-2's.
  • Past sales experience should be with market leading companies that dominated their segment
  • Experience in selling SaaS solutions, business/financial applications, or BI solutions is required.
  • Prior experience in a start-up environment is not required but will be weighed positively.
  • Strong executive presence – intelligent, polished, and articulate.
  • Demonstrated high-level influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with the aptitude for impromptu decision making.
  • References from prior leadership will be required.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • A strong work ethic, highly competitive nature, and collaborative mindset are essential.
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated and personally accountable, but also inspired to be a contributing member of the sales organization.

Other requirements:

  • Travel required visiting prospects and customers.
  • Need to be able to work independently from home and during travel in an unstructured and fluid capacity in order to meet simultaneous sales objectives.
  • Remote customer and internal work required; need to be comfortable in extended phone conversations, conference calls, and remote computer sessions.
  • Work or travel on a weekend is sometimes required to meet customer and prospects needs to ensure successful revenue generation.
