One size doesn’t fit all
Even if one particular department has gone 100% Agile, a variety of project execution techniques are most likely in use across the enterprise. Gone are the days of one-size-fits-all methodologies. Instead, a proliferation of project and work management tools and techniques are being used by a variety of teams in different functions and verticals. So attempting to institute 100% Agile across the entire enterprise makes about as much sense as trying to force all of those groups to adopt one standard, traditional PPM approach.
Addressing the need to integrate a variety of work styles is something that the entire enterprise now needs to embrace if it is to successfully drive business transformation. Projects across the enterprise being executed using multiple tools and methodologies need to be integrated with PPM, ERP and other enterprise systems as much as possible to ensure that the organization has a top-down, 360° view of all work.
