We’re pleased to announce the availability of UMT360 v6.4 – Product Update 4 (PU4). Product Updates include all previously released public updates and private hotfixes. We strongly recommend that any patch and release is validated in a non-production environment first before being applied to production environments.

Here is a list of changes that will be introduced with this update:

  • Portfolio Optimization
    • Measure your portfolio Value and Yield using up-to-five configurable Value Drivers
    • Optimize budget usage by creating and comparing different scenarios for your investment portfolio
    • Evaluate competing priorities using different prioritization criteria in multiple scenarios
    • Leverage budget surplus to automatically include backlog initiatives into your portfolio
    • Sequence your selected initiatives to maximize resource utilization and payback timelines

• Strategy Hub
  • Added the ability to configure custom attributes for strategic objectives and metrics
  • Added the ability to group strategic objectives and metrics in views
  • Updated the Progress Tracking dialog to include the metric’s name and measure
  • Added the ability to create metrics with duplicate names, linked to different strategic objectives

• Resource Management
  • Added the ability to manage one-time and recurring exceptions using Capacity Templates
  • Added the ability to assign individual Capacity Templates to resources when Dynamic Capacity is used
  • Added the option to synchronize resources from Microsoft Project without their resource capacity information
  • Added the ability to synchronize custom attributes for external users from Azure Active Directory
  • Hierarchical lookup table values are now displayed using their full path in the Add Resources and Reassign dialogs, as well as in relevant OData views
  • Fixed issue when adding many resources at once to a Resource Plan integrated with Microsoft Project
  • Fixed performance issue when synchronizing a large number of resources and calendar exceptions from Microsoft Project

• Portfolio Manager
  • Improved the configuration wizard UI/UX when creating/editing portfolio plans
  • Fixed issue with Budget Utilization metric being set to 0 after rescheduling an entity
  • Fixed issue with user settings not being persisted when creating a new scenario

• Roadmap Manager
  • Added the ability to visually overlay entity progress in Timeline roadmaps
  • Added the ability to share roadmap ownership with one or more users and security groups
  • Added the ability to reposition dependency connectors in Timeline roadmaps using drag-and-drop

• Other
  • Added the out-of-the box Workflow Stage field for grouping and filtering purposes
  • Added the ability to synchronize reporting data for individual entities
  • Allow financial integration between Resource Plans and future Actuals reporting periods, when the global option ‘Allow updates to future Reporting Periods’ is enabled
  • Option set values are now available for reporting in the FieldTableValues OData view

• Programmability (CSOM interfaces)
  • Added CRUD operations for strategic objectives, metrics and time-phased metric values
  • Added CRUD operations for resource fields
  • Added CRUD operations for UMT360 Teams
  • The Display in Roadmaps milestone field can now be updated programmatically
