Catalin Olteanu

President & CEO

Catalin Olteanu is the President of UMT360 and is responsible for managing the company’s operations. He is an accomplished leader that has been a primary driver for UMT’s Product investments for more than a decade. His analytical approach to business management and his passion for customer success have been instrumental to UMT’s success. Catalin joined UMT in 2000 and founded the company’s Romanian development center which built the UMT Portfolio Manager suite later acquired by Microsoft. Catalin is an expert in project and portfolio management and provides the unique technology perspective combined with solid implementation and consulting experience. Catalin has a degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Romania.

Ben Chamberlain

Chief Product Officer

Ben Chamberlain is the Chief Product Officer and is responsible for the strategic direction and worldwide go-to-market activities for UMT360’s Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) software solutions. He is an accomplished enterprise software executive with more than a decade of experience of building innovative SPM solutions that have helped global 2000 companies drive business transformation and increase their business agility. Ben joined UMT in 2002 and was responsible for the in-market success of UMT Portfolio Manager which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. Ben has a degree in Business and Sports Science from Surrey University (UK).

Mike Gruia


UMT360 founder and co-founder of UMT Consulting Group (acquired by EY in 2015), Mike Gruia is widely recognized as a strategic visionary focused on helping businesses transform the way they operate and invest through the use of powerful portfolio management solutions aimed at improving operations and management processes. A guiding force in the design of UMT solutions including Portfolio Manager which was acquired by Microsoft, Mike is also credited with leading the creation of the portfolio prioritization and optimization framework and governance approach being used today by Fortune 500 companies around the world. Mike holds degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University and Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.
